What’s in a name
I chose the name Awelowynt in late 2003 during high school when I signed up for the game Final Fantasy XI. The short version is that it is some bastardization of Welsh and the translation amounted to something like “gust of wind.” I thought it would be cool for the game, and I’ve been using it ever since.
Snooze Button Ronin has a more recent history. A good friend actually came up with the name as an amalgamation of laziness, a then apt description of a college drop-out, a shared love of japanese culture, ‘man with no name’ type heroes, and strange stories involving our alter-egos.
In real life, I’m a mid-twenties guy that works with computers at odd hours full-time. I live in central Illinois and I consider myself to be very conservative, though I certainly have some libertarian leanings. I’m still trying to codify exactly what I believe – politically, philosophically, theologically, etc.
