An Old Rhyme Reworked
Remember, Remember this Second: November
The liberal treason and plot.
I see no reason
Why this government treason
Should ever be forgot.
Pelosi and Reid, twas their intent
To bring on runaway government.
Two thousand plus pages, rushed with show
To push free market overthrow.
With Barack this plan was hatch’d
Blocking repeal: the only catch.
The Constitution shred by their action,
No voter mercy from any faction,
Their just end should’st be grim,
What should we do? Oust Them!
Vote’m out, Vote’m out, let freedom ring,
Vote’m out, Vote’m out, Save the American Dream!
I’ve seen the first ‘verse’ reworked in a similar manner in various places, but never the entire rhyme. These random posts around the internet inspired me to rework the rhyme in it’s entirety. Here’s the original version that I used as a reference.

I see no reason
Why the Gunpowder Treason
Should ever be forgot.
Guy Fawkes, Guy Fawkes, t’was his intent
To blow up the King and Parli’ment.
Three-score barrels of powder below
To prove old England’s overthrow;
By God’s providence he was catch’d (or by God’s mercy*)
With a dark lantern and burning match.
A traitor to the Crown by his action,
No Parli’ment mercy from any faction,
His just end should’st be grim,
What should we do? Burn him!
Holler boys, holler boys, let the bells ring,
Holler boys, holler boys, God save the King!
